One Bear Taken During First Archery-Only Season
Tennessee's first archery-only hunting season for black bears was held in Blount and Sevier counties on October 16 through 24, according to the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA).
During this first archery-only season, only one bear was reported harvested from Sevier County. No bears were reported harvested in Blount County.
The early bear hunting season, which was held September 25 through October 1, in Blount, Cocke, and Sevier counties, tallied 46 bears taken from the three counties combined.
